Himachal Pradesh is known for its scenic beauty. Hampta Pass trek:

The Hampta pass trek is one of the most popular treks among trekkers for being suitable for both amateur and professional trekkers. Located in the Pir Panjal Ranges of the Himalayas at a height of about 4,270 metres, the Hampta pass connects the green valleys of Kullu and Manali to the barren deserts of Lahaul and Spiti. What makes this trek so special is the changing scenes, from the lush green valleys in Kullu to the cold semi-arid region of Lahaul. This trek is also visited by shepherds in search of grasslands in the mountains.  May to October is the best time of the year to visit this trek.

Prashar lake trek:

Difficulty: Easy.

The Prashar lake situated at an altitude of about 2,730 metres and surrounded by the Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas. The lake known for the three-storeyed pagoda-style temple dedicated to rishi Prashar. This trek offers a spectacular view of the mountains, along with the beautiful valleys of Kullu and the pine forests. The adventurous climb adds to the appeal of the trek. One can visit this trek during the winters, when one can catch a magnificent view of the snow covered mountains.

Triund trek:

Difficulty: easy.

Considered as an easy trek, the Triund trek is an ideal choice for beginners. Some even consider this to be the easiest among all the Himalayan treks. The Triund trek known for its breathtaking views of the Kangra valley and the mountains in the Dhauladhar range. The trek is also a paradise for birdwatchers. The best time to visit this trek is from May to October.

Kareri lake trek:

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate.

A high altitude freshwater lake, the Kareri lake lies in the south of the Dhauladhar range, approximately 9 kms away from Dharamshala, in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The Kareri lake is a popular trekking destination, and remains frozen during the months of December to April. The lake also serves as a basecamp for trekking further into the mountains of the Dhauladhar range. The Kareri lake trek known for its splendid views of the mountains and adjacent grasslands. Other attractions include a temple dedicated to lord Shiva and Shakti at the hilltop.  There are a few steep terrains on the trek, nevertheless, it widely visited by amateur trekkers. The best time to visit this trek is during the summers.

Situated at an altitude of about 2,950 metres, the Kheerganga trek is one of the most popular among amateur trekkers. This trek known for its spectacular views of the Parvati valley, the meeting point of the rivers Parvati and Beas.
