Dell Latitude 7480 Laptop Core I7 Specs and Review
Table of Contents
The premium Latitude once again checks all the necessary boxes for business notebooks thanks to its new chassis, reduced weight, and significantly longer battery life. The 14-inch 7480 has modern technology, provides excellent performance, and has a superior keyboard.
Dell Latitude 7480 Laptop Design & Display
The Dell latitude 7480 comes with 14 inches display. The absence of a touchscreen makes sense in all situations other than a foldable laptop. Unless you have a device that can transform into a tablet, touchscreens add weight and use power, so they are typically not worth the extra money.
Performance
Dell latitude packs with Intel Core i7-7600U processor. Although the processor’s base frequency is 2.8 GHz, both cores can achieve a maximum Turbo Boost speed of 3.9 GHz. Results have not nearly met expectations. Moreover, it also features 8GB of RAM and a 256 solid-state drive.
The Latitude 7480 uses the Intel HD Graphics 620 built into the processor, which in this configuration operates at frequencies ranging from 300 to 1067 MHz Business notebooks don’t prioritize gaming performance, and the Latitude 7480’s integrated GPU makes it apparent that it isn’t a contender either. Older games will function with decreased graphics settings and resolution, but newer games are ineligible.
Ports and connectivity
There are many ports on the 7480. There are three USB 3.0 connections, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, an HDMI port, a USB C port, an audio jack, and slots for a microSD card. The machine is smaller than an RJ-45 port would normally be thus the port is spring-loaded to expand when the connection is inserted and to close to the same height as the device when the connector is taken out.
Battery
The 4-cell Express Charge Capable battery in our Dell Latitude 7480 specs has a healthy capacity of 60 Wh. Which is sufficient for a reliable WLAN operating time of 12 hours.
