Dell Latitude 5490 Core I7 Specs and Review

Dell Latitude 5490 laptop is ideal for business users but its display disappointed us. However, it comes with fast performance and long battery life. The 14-inch Dell Latitude 5490 is designed for business and offers lots of productivity, convenience, and sturdiness. However, the Latitude falls short if you want your task to look fantastic on your display or use your laptop to listen to any audio.

Design and Display

The Latitude 5490 in matte black has a powerful presence. Dell’s latitude measures 13.1 x 9.0 x 0.8 inches, the Latitude is heavier than the 3.5-pound. However, its display is its weakest part otherwise laptop in this price range is a very decent option.

Performance

The 8th-Gen Intel Core i7-8650U CPU and 8GB of RAM in the latitude 5490 make it capable of handling heavy multitasking. I experienced no slowdown while the audio setup application and the Videos app were running in the background. It also features 256 GB of SSD storage which transfers the file in very quickly time.

Ports and Connectivity

The Latitude divides its ports between its front, back, and left sides. On the rear side, in packs with an optional SIM tray and first USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. On the left side, it equips USB Type-C with DisplayPort, an SD memory reader, a smart card reader, and a second USB 3.0 port.

A third USB 3.0 connector, a headphone socket, and a VGA port are all located on the right side. The VGA port will be beneficial to companies that still use outdated monitors and projectors.

Battery& Webcam

The Dell Latitude 5490 specs will more than likely meet your needs if you’re seeking for a durable laptop. I’ve come to have low expectations for inbuilt webcams, and the Latitude 5490’s 0.9-megapixel camera doesn’t change that.
